The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Civil Engineer, PE to join our Irvine office. The successful candidate will contribute to a wide range of federal, municipal, commercial, and private development projects. These include design of stormwater systems, grading, multiuse paths, complete/green streets, and active transportation infrastructure, as well as support of water and sewer pipelines, pump stations, retaining walls, bridges, and related structures. This role offers the opportunity to grow within a collaborative team environment, mentor junior staff, and learn from senior engineers and project managers.

Your Role:

Lead and support civil infrastructure design projects including:Stormwater capture and water quality managementLow Impact Development (LID) and green infrastructureGrading and drainage using AutoCAD Civil3DHydrology and hydraulicsADA-compliant ramps, bikeways, and pedestrian pathwaysComplete/green streets and active transportation projectsWater distribution and sanitary sewer collection systemsPump stations, erosion control, retaining walls, and bridgesPerform conceptual and detailed design calculations and analysesPrepare engineering reports, construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimatesEnsure compliance with standard engineering practices and documentation requirementsEvaluate design alternatives and resolve technical issuesCoordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholdersSupport permitting processes and regulatory complianceMentor junior staff and contribute to team developmentExecute work safely, efficiently, and cost-effectivelyPerform other related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) required5–10 years of relevant civil engineering experienceEIT certification required; ability to obtain California PE license within 6–12 monthsCalifornia PE license preferredStrong background in civil design, including:Stormwater and water quality systemsLID/green infrastructureGrading, drainage, and street designWater and sewer systemsPermitting and regulatory complianceExperience with municipal, commercial, or residential infrastructure projectsProficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D (formal training preferred); MicroStation InRoads a plusSkilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and technical writingStrong communication, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skillsAbility to self-direct and review plan sets and reportsFamiliarity with applicable codes and ability to develop and review specifications

 

CA Salary: $98,000 to $125,000 dependent on experience.
