Airswift is seeking for a Civil Designer to work with our client based in Qatar. 

JOB DESCRIPTION – Civil Designer
Prepare designs: Civil designers prepare both 2D and 3D designs and drawings of civil structures, piping systems, utilities, roadways, and other infrastructure systems for proposed projects. Interpret civil engineering drawings and building plans to determine where to place utility and piping systems, how to add new civil structures Read maps and land surveys to note land grading, nearby structures, and other factors that could affect the placement of civil structures, piping and utility systems.
Follow DEPs and codes: Adhere to city, county, state laws and Shell DEPs regarding civil structural design and building code requirements and submit proposed design plans to Civil Engineering Technical Authority for approval. Civil designers are responsible for staying up to date on local coding laws, international codes and Shell DEPs to ensure that designs stay within legal parameters & DEP requirements and that proper permits/technical approvals are obtained for proposed civil projects.
Design & Drafting: Drawing new civil foundation drawings and updating existing.                               Preparation and Editing of G.A drawings & Elevation-plans and shop drawings of all structural components of building, Equipment/pipe rack.                                                                               Site surveys and As Built drawings.
Key Job Dimensions: Good skill in operating CAD software’s such as AutoCAD, Micro station. Knowledge of spoken and written English                     
Additional requirement Can work independently and able to design the civil foundation and structural component. Good skill in operating CAD software’s such as AutoCAD.
Education/Technical Qualification Requirements: 
Certificate / Diploma from Technical School     
                                                                                                   
Required Experience:
Minimum 8-10 years in Oil & Gas industry or Engineering Consulting Company in a similar
role

Key Skills:                                                                                            Good skill in operating CAD software’s such as AutoCAD Good communication skill                                                                    Good grasp & knowledge of drafting standards in oil & gas industry.   Skill in stress analysis using Staad pro & E3D (Everything 3D) will be an added advantage
