Engagement Type: Contract
Software Requirement: OpenRoads (mandatory)
Target Project Milestone: First water by January 2028
We are seeking a skilled Civil Designer/Drafter to join a major mining infrastructure project based in Perth CBD. The role will involve both design and drafting responsibilities across civil infrastructure components, supporting the development of a pipeline corridor linking two mine sites.
The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Engineering Manager and collaborate closely with engineers and designers to deliver project milestones.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and produce detailed civil design and drafting deliverables using OpenRoads
Design and document drainage systems, stormwater infrastructure, ponds, and gravity/pressure pipelines
Assist with pond relocation design, which is part of the project’s early works scope
Ensure all designs comply with project standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of documentation
Support the development of construction documentation and IFC drawings
Mandatory RequirementsProven experience with OpenRoads for civil design and drafting
Prior experience working on mining or heavy civil infrastructure projects
Strong understanding of civil networks: stormwater, drainage, and pipeline systems
Comfortable performing both design and drafting tasks, particularly in an engineering team environment
Excellent communication and documentation skills
