Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing an exceptional customer service within the Ocean Import Department.

Responsibilities:
Quotes
In conjunction with Ocean Import Manager, create quotes for Import operations.Meet deadlines set by customers and sales/retention on responding to pricing requests.Track and report the results of quotes by maintaining and updating the Quoting in the Database (Quoting Power BI or another system)
Analysis of Rates
Review and analyze carrier rates.Review feedback from sales/retention and customers on rate competitiveness.In conjunction with Ocean Import Manager, work with carriers to keep rates fresh and competitive.
Rate & Surcharge Maintenance
Maintain rate databases updated.Maintain and distribute information about increases and changes on the market.Follow up and revise the expiring rate agreements and contracts.
General Support
Provide general support for sales/retention on air pricing.Provide other general pricing support as specified by the network.Provide support to operational team on approval of quotes from customers.Provide support to operational team on the registration of rates on ATS and with the carrier.Provide support to operational team on the compliance of Expeditors policies.Requisitos
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND BEHAVIOURS:
Knowledge:
A good understanding of Expeditors’ Products and Services.Understanding freight forwarder industry in special Ocean Import Product.Understanding of ocean documentation process a plus.Hazardous Materials certification (optional).
Skills:
Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.Very detail oriented.Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects.Capability to negotiate with suppliers.Analysis of data.Pro-active, strong organizational skills.Good Microsoft Office and computer skillsFluent in English.
