We are seeking a skilled and experienced Citrix Level II/III Engineer to join our IT support team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and supporting Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability across both on-premises and cloud-hosted environments.
As a critical member of the Desktop Technology Team, you will diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, optimize the Citrix environment, and support a seamless virtual desktop experience for end-users. This role is ideal for a professional with deep expertise in Citrix technologies and a passion for delivering efficient, scalable virtual infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities:Citrix Environment Management:
Administer and support Citrix infrastructure including Virtual Apps (XenApp), Virtual Desktops (XenDesktop), Citrix ADC (NetScaler), Citrix Cloud, Citrix Director, Studio, PVS, MCS, and Citrix Workspace.
Troubleshooting & Support:
Provide Level II/III support for Citrix-related incidents. Analyze and resolve complex issues involving application delivery, desktop virtualization, network connectivity, and performance degradation.
Configuration & Deployment:
Plan, deploy, and maintain Citrix environments, including patching, upgrades, and implementation of new features. Support infrastructure projects aligned with business objectives.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
Monitor system health, identify performance bottlenecks, and execute tuning strategies to improve efficiency and user experience.
Documentation & Best Practices:
Create and maintain detailed documentation covering Citrix architecture, configurations, processes, and support procedures.
Cross-Team Collaboration:
Work with network, storage, and security teams to ensure integration and operational efficiency of the Citrix environment.
User Support:
Serve as a technical escalation point for Citrix-related user issues. Provide expert-level support and ensure prompt resolution and customer satisfaction.
Security & Compliance:
Implement and enforce Citrix-related security protocols and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
Incident & Problem Management:
Participate in root cause analysis and problem resolution efforts. Maintain SLAs and service quality standards.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and Citrix updates. Recommend and implement improvements based on best practices.
Experience:
5–7 years of hands-on experience in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops in enterprise production environments.
Proven expertise in Citrix Cloud and Citrix ADC (NetScaler).
Technical Proficiency:
Strong knowledge of:
Citrix Director, Studio, Provisioning Services (PVS), Machine Creation Services (MCS)
Citrix License Server and Citrix Workspace
VDI support and deployment (Windows and Citrix virtual environments)
Troubleshooting Skills:
Advanced problem-solving in areas including application delivery, memory management, performance tuning, and Citrix infrastructure diagnostics.
Certifications (preferred):
Citrix Certified Associate/Professional (CCA-V, CCP-V) or equivalent credentials.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
