Cisco Network Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer with a strong foundation in Cisco networking technologies and a solid background in network security to support one of our partners. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a secure and efficient network infrastructure across the organization, including both corporate and job site environments. This role requires hands-on experience with Cisco hardware and software, a thorough understanding of networking best practices, and the ability to collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure the integrity and performance of our networks. This is a direct hire position located onsite in Barrington, IL.

Qualifications Must have bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)Must have 3-5 years of experience as a Network Engineer in Cisco-based environmentsMust have experience with VPN technologies, firewall policies, and intrusion prevention systemsIn-depth knowledge of Cisco networking technologies, including routing, switching, wireless, and firewallsProficient in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco ASA, Firepower, and Meraki devicesStrong understanding of network security concepts (e.g., ACLs, segmentation, VPN, IDS/IPS)Familiarity with security standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO)Proficient with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or Cisco DNA CenterPreferred Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CISSP or CompTIA A+Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsThe candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be requiredLegally authorized to work in the US without sponsorshipMust demonstrate a “can-do” attitude

Compensation Range: $80,0000/Yr - $120,000/Yr
