RSM's Management Consulting CIO Advisory provides strategy and advisory assistance to improve the overall effectiveness of the Technology & Digital function for our clients.

 
We are looking for a CIO Advisory Manager to join this team! As a CIO Advisory Manager at RSM, you will work with businesses in the industrials industry and receive hands-on client experience with direct access to executive management. You will work on numerous projects per year, managing several pieces of assignments, not just one small part, and you will feel a great sense of accomplishment when you are done! Responsibilities

Advise clients on their digital transformation journeys including digital strategy development, digital assessments, roadmap development and advising on emerging technologiesAdvise CIOs on optimizing IT departments and IT capabilities within client organizationsLead and develop your teamAct as a project manager and liaison between stakeholders and usersPerform technology assessmentsEvaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutionsPrioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirementsUpdate, implement and maintain proceduresWork closely with clients and techniciansParticipate in projects, develop project plans, and monitor performanceProvide leadership, training, coaching, and guidance to junior staffGather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce applicable reportsNetwork internally and externally to develop sales opportunitiesPerform user acceptance testingProvide analysis, development and documentation of improvement opportunitiesFacilitate user workshops to gather and document business needs, requirements, weaknesses and challengesContinuously learn to better understand RSM's scope of services, with the intent to enhance value to the client through integration of servicesAspire to career growth by assuming more active roles in technology assessments over time, as knowledge and experience progressStay up to date on the latest process and digital/IT advancements to automate and modernize systems and regulationsEffectively document and communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management

Basic Qualifications 

8+ years’ experience in process intelligence, digital transformation and/or software management, preferably working in a platform agnostic environmentKnowledge of ERP, CRM, CPM and other enterprise platformsPrevious consulting experience, advising on digital adoption automation and efficienciesPrevious experience with implementing technologies and migrating clients to SaaS/cloud environments.Knowledge of enterprise architecture concepts across all domainsBasic understanding of IT application lifecycle, general IT controls and methodsExperience in developing Target Operating Models for clientsStrong communication skillsCritical thinking and creative problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to apply theoretical concepts and best practices to solve business problemsExcellent planning, organizational, and time management skillsAbility and willingness to travel up to 50% throughout North AmericaExperience creating detailed reports and giving presentationsAbility to anticipate and address client concerns and issuesDemonstrated work ethic and ability to work effectively with people at all levelsBachelor’s degreeExperience with various software solutions including Microsoft Project, Visio, PowerPoint and WordDatabase knowledge (Microsoft SQL, and/or Access)Ability to travel up to 40%

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications such as COBIT, ITIL, PMP, TOGAFExperience in PE and/or M&A transactionsExposure to a key industry such as Industrials, Business and Professional Services, Real Estate, TMT, Consumer Products and/or life sciences

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $119,100 - $239,300

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
