The site is looking for a CI Manager to lead, manage and co-ordinate the continuous improvement programme within a manufacturing business.
What you’ll do: Lead change initiatives across all areas of the business by identifying, quantifying, and managing projects from operations, manufacturing, supply chain, and support functions.Develop the Continuous Improvement (CI) strategy and deploy lean tools and techniques to meet business KPIs at Sutton MEDC, focusing on process improvements in quality, cost, service, and inventory.Implement best practice lean tools and techniques within the business, including Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS), by coaching and training managers, supervisors, and staff; lead Kaizen and 5S events to ensure methodologies align with customer demands.Achieve annualized project savings as outlined in the project deck and profit plan; coordinate project deck activities during profit planning and support the Operations team with project management and departmental goals.Continuously enhance project management techniques and coach others in their use, ensuring clear management and timely closure of projects, with accurate plans and concise, high-quality status presentations.Address and reduce business issues through root cause analysis and corrective action plans.Engage the entire organization to promote Lean/CI benefits and foster a culture of continuous improvement as a core business ethos.Maintain a flexible approach to CI, adapting to the changing needs of the business to achieve goals and objectives.Demonstrate proficiency in ELSS tools such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Standard Work, and 5S; coordinate ELSS self-assessments and implement action plans to address gaps.Develop and advance ELSS tools as appropriate to meet business requirements.Deliver projects and plans that achieve annualized savings as defined by business objectives.Lead, train, and coach others in lean tools and techniques, building expertise throughout the business and fostering a culture of continuous improvement to meet KPIs.Own and manage the Kaizen calendar, ensuring deployment and support of activities throughout the business.Support Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) events and activities to achieve targeted cost reductions where appropriate.Qualifications: Engineering Degree or equivalentSix Sigma QualificationSkills: Demonstrated experience within a manufacturing or engineering environmentAbility to work with all levels of the businessDemonstrates a collaborative approachExperience training cross-functional groupsIT literate – proficient in SAP and SharePointWhat we offer: Competitive compensation and benefits packageChallenging projects in dynamic collaborative teamGreat company benefits We make your aspirations matter – Eaton encourages internal promotion, whenever possibleWe make your growth matter - We invest in our employees for the long term – not just with salary and benefits, but with ongoing learning and development opportunities made available through Eaton UniversityWe make your contributions matter - reliability, safety, efficiency, and sustainability are at the core of our dedication to improving people’s lives and the environment through power management technologiesWe make your wellbeing matter – We put your health and safety first.
