Chubb Life Global Office: Senior Project and Product Manager

A)    Position Objective:

To lead projects and teams of internal and/or external resources to deliver specified program/project products to time, cost and quality targetsThese projects may be standalone within a portfolio or may comprise a substantial workstream within a larger programTo drive change across the markets to adopt new solutionsTo drive product development and manage product backlog alongside market and platform POs

 

B)    Roles and Responsibilities:

Develop and actively manage project plans in line with project management standards to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.Manage delivery against project plan, monitoring progress and taking action to ensure project remains on track and within budget.Provide input into business case initiatives and ensure that all associated costs, and plans are incorporated.Demonstrably understand end-to-end product lifecycle, including product vision, roadmap, and measurements of success, as projects are very product centricEnsure user stories, UAT criteria, definition of ready, definition of done and acceptance criteria are clearly documented, and that delivery teams deliver to these documented expectationsDrive decision-making and remove impediments to squad’s progress by influencing key stakeholders, and escalating issues appropriatelyOversee all stages of product creation, including design and developmentCollaborate with business partners and stakeholders to understand and anticipate their needs and be able translate them into product and business requirementsBe able and ready to develop, prioritize and maintain the product roadmap and squad backlog to drive speed-to-market and business impact, working alongside market POSIntegrate activities, identifying and managing interdependencies (within and outside the project) so as to ensure coordinated delivery.Manage relationships with  a  range  of  internal  and  external  suppliers and stakeholders,  business requirements, agreeing terms and ensuring deliveryPlan    and    manage    internal    and    external    project    resources    (financial,    human, technological etc.) to ensure delivery of project outputs to time, cost and quality criteria.Identify financial and operating risks and issues affecting the project, putting measures in place to manage and control.Agree and implement project reporting and control processes in line with project management standards.Initiate formal reviews of all projects within area of responsibility to critically assess project work carried out and benefits obtained.Manage in a hands-on way other resources to ensure delivery of project outputs to Plan timescales.Provide communication on project status, risk and quality analysis on a regular basis.  Address risks, escalate on time to deliver projects properly.Continually seek out relevant industry product digital and technical knowledge and improve on professional skills by completing necessary development activities


 

C) Job Requirements:

This is a hands on role, whilst you will display leadership in driving a strong robust project management framework, you will actively lead projects yourself working directly with engineering teams and senior business stakeholdersExperienced in project planning, progress control & reporting, change management, risk management, quality management, resource management.Proficient in business acumen, change management and key stakeholder management requiredProduct management experience and certification preferred eg scrum POAbility to conduct business analysis and create requirements where needed, identify business/product requirements gaps and coach the team to fulfil gapsAct as agile coach for the squad where required uplifting team competencyAbility to use excel to develop and run financial models required Industry project management certification preferred, e.g. PMPWith at least 8 years’ experience in managing projects; experience in managing IT, web, digital, mobile and insurance Operations projects a plusExperience in Agile environment requiredStrong ownership in leadership skill in managing relationships with senior management teamAble to work under pressure and tight project schedule, and work flexibly under dynamic environment and geographyStrong business acumen, self-motivated, result-oriented, strong communication skillsRigorous, autonomous, organized, committed, transparentCustomer experience, digitization of distribution channels , experience in Claims and Underwriting in Life insurance are advantageous
