Dawson Mine
Our Dawson operation is a large open-cut coal mine and is showing no signs of slowing down! Dawson’s CHPP consists of 3 active dump stations, km’s of conveyor systems, A Coal Preparation Plant, Train Load Out and associated stockpile management equipment proven capable of processing 12 million + feed per annum.
It’s not just the large Fixed plant equipment that you would be working on, it’s also the placement of Dawson, it is located at the southern end of the Bowen Basin in Central Queensland, being just over a 2hrs drive west from either Rockhampton or Gladstone, or 4.5hrs drive north of the Darling Downs or South Burnett.
Job DescriptionA rare opportunity exists for an experienced Planner / Scheduler to join the Maintenance team within the Coal Processing Prep Plant (CHPP) at Dawson Mine in Moura, QLD. Reporting to the Planning Coordinator, you will perform the planning and scheduling of maintenance work for plant and equipment and manage the development of systems to improve efficiency of maintenance processes.
This role directly supports Dawson Maintenance to achieve a zero-harm culture through safely operating and maintaining CHPP process to optimise performance. The maintenance planner plans maintenance work for the fixed plant and manages the development of systems to improve the efficiency of the maintenance processes. If you are someone who enjoys solving problems and working with a large range of stakeholders to build planning solutions, then this could be the role for you!

You will ideally possess knowledge of Planning and Scheduling processes and logistics and coordination. Previous experience in a similar role will also be highly regarded.
