CTG is seeking to fill a Chip Physical Design/Timing opening for our client. Location: Remote Duration: 12 months Duties: Perform Chip Physical Design and Timing analysis, focusing on high-speed interfaces such as PCIe6 or HBM. Implement and validate timing methodologies to ensure design meets performance and reliability targets. Collaborate with RTL designers, verification teams, and integration engineers to optimize chip timing and physical implementation. Utilize industry-standard EDA tools (Cadence Innovus, Cadence Tempus, Synopsys Design Compiler) to support synthesis, placement, routing, and timing closure. Identify and resolve critical path and setup/hold timing violations. Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations to improve timing performance. Skills: Strong understanding of chip physical design, timing analysis, and integration of high-speed interfaces (PCIe6, HBM, or similar). Hands-on experience with Cadence Innovus, Cadence Tempus, and/or Synopsys Design Compiler. Knowledge of timing methodology and optimization techniques. Ability to troubleshoot complex timing issues and provide solutions. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Experience: Prior experience in chip physical design, timing closure, and integration of high-speed IPs. Experience with RTL to GDSII flow and EDA tool flows for synthesis, placement, and routing. Familiarity with PCIe, HBM, or other high-speed interfaces preferred. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
