Child & Family Support Specialists (Therapeutic Mentors) at BAMSI provide individualized and flexible services to youth and their families with multiple stresses and needs. These services are designed to maximize individuals skills and strengths and provide the support to facilitate growth and independence. All services are part of an individualized plan as designed by the family and provider system. We can flex the schedule to meet your availability.
The Home Based Team (HBT) engages youth and families by providing needed supports and highly individualized services in order to help strengthen families as they progress toward their goals, reduce child protective concerns, and encourage resiliency, empowerment, and self-sufficiency. In-Home therapy services is a structured, consistent, strength-based therapeutic relationship between a Clinician and the youth and family for the purpose of treating the youth's behavioral needs. Clinical services and assessments offer support to youth and families challenged by various emotional and physical stressors.REQUIRED: High School Diploma or GED requiredBachelor's degree is preferred, plus 1 year experience or lived experience plus 5 + years experience with children and familiesESSENTIAL: Experience working with children and families with significant mental health and/or behavioral challenges or experience parenting children with behavioral, emotional or neurological challenges required. Must possess a valid driver's license in state of residence and own means of transportation.Bonus: Must be fluent in English, Multilingual a bonus
