Chief Underwriting Officer/Senior Leader, Marsh Fast Track

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Portfolio Solutions team at Marsh. Marsh continues to evolve Fast Track, a first-of-its-kind global insurance solution that simplifies and speeds up access to additional insurance capacity.

As the Marsh Portfolio Solutions Fast Track Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Fast Track programme, and the insurance market, contributing to the overall success of Marsh’s global placement strategy.

This role will be based in London. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:

Lead a team of c. 25 talented individuals – based in London, Birmingham and Norwich – to ensure facility capacity is deployed quickly and efficiently.

Drive key growth, placement, operational and process strategies to enhance our service delivery. 

Foster strong relationships with carriers and internal stakeholders within Marsh network to ensure the success of Fast Track.

Drive, develop and adapt the Fast Track 3 year plan – this includes the delivery of operational and financial objectives – to reflect the business, market environment and client needs.

Work with global placement leaders to drive portfolio indexation

Be responsible for provision of our broker services to our partner markets.

Report on facility’s performance to the a wide variety of internal and external stakeholder, including providing insights and recommendations for future growth and enhancements.

What you need to have:

Experience in broking, underwriting or delegated authority portfolio management.

10+ years of experience in the London insurance market.

Leadership and people management experience.

Proven track record of handling of complex placements and driving strategic initiatives.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to make data-driven decisions quickly, even with incomplete information.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders.

Results-oriented mindset and willingness to hold others accountable for delivering results and high standards of performance.

What makes you stand out?

In-depth knowledge of insurance landscape, particularly in relation to quota share facilities and portfolio solutions.

Experience in a senior leadership role within a global insurance organisation.

Familiarity with Marsh’s operational processes and systems.
