The approximately 9-mile project will add two non-tolled high-occupancy vehicle managed lanes in each direction along I-35 from U.S. 290 West/State Highway 71/Ben White Boulevard to State Highway 45 Southeast. Fluor’s scope includes a combination of at-grade and elevated lanes in the median, reconstruction of bridges and frontage roads, the addition of a shared-use pedestrian and bicycle path, and enhanced safety and mobility improvements. **Job Requirements:** • HS Dipolma or GED • 12+ years of construction surveyor experience working on construction and/or infrastructure projects. **Other Job Requirements** • Provides the proper care, maintenance, checking, adjusting, and repair of surveying instruments and equipment • Prepares and maintains complete and accurate field survey notes, including numerical calculations and clear, neat sketches to provide a record of the survey party’s activities • Provides measurements and data to support the preparation of as-built drawings • Establishes quantities for progress and cost reports and for the verification of payments to contractors • Establishes and maintains a staff of qualified personnel as required to meet the projects surveying requirements • Coordinates and schedules survey activities with construction supervision • Remains knowledgeable of safety policies and procedures and performs assigned duties in a safe manner and, while supervising others, has responsibility for their safety and ensures that they comply with established safety policies and procedures and practice safe work habits • Supervises and manages a field engineering organization consisting of multiple survey parties, which provide the accurate location and layout of the work within the lines, grades, and elevations indicated on the design drawings • Determines the composition of field survey parties and the required equipment, methods, techniques, and procedures to be utilized by field engineering crews • Other duties as assigned We are an equal opportunity employer.
