Chief Operator

Job Purpose:
1. Report to Operation Supervisor & O&M Manager.
2. Operate SCADA control
3. Manage Operator works in the same shift.

Major Responsibilities

- Responsible to the quality and quantity production according to the contract.
- To implement good, recommended trainings.
- Ensure all work performed meets health, safety and environment (HSE) prevailing in the company.
- Protect the operational equipment/machinery clean and the stand by one.
- Prepare an accurate production report, real and punctuality of the water production, water quality and chemical usage as well the electricity.
- Manage the work orderliness, keep the harmony working environment and lead operators under his supervises on the technical/non-technical matter in an efficient and effective manner.
- To input basic process data into PLC/SCADA supervisory control.
- To ensure the WTP operated using minimal electricity and minimum water losses.
- To optimize the water plant operation for each process. Responsible for the plant operation during his shift.
- To lead site operators during his shift to perform operation & maintenance tasks.
- To coordinate with operation supervisor in case of difficulty.
- His role is to operate the plant from SCADA room but also to supervise the plant process at site and to lead the operators tasks at site as well.
- To produce operation reports, monitor plant operation and participate actively into resolving the problems encountered from operation or maintenance side.
- To resolve the difficulties, to consultation and recommendation of production process.
- Willing to work out of the working hours under company request.
- To ensure of achieve production efficiency, working quality optimum and recording data production with accurate.
- To supervise chemicals arrival on site and necessary component


Routine Responsibilities

- To monitor quality control process or raw water/treated water and give instruction to operator any changing on pump operation system, PLC/Automation, pump dosage, jar-test, pH and chlorine residual, coagulan residual, etc.
- To instruct operator to switch on / switch off main equipment (pump, genset etc.)
- To ensure health, safe and clean working area/equipment.
- To ensure daily works are done as company request.
- To issue / submit maintenance order.
- To ensure shift replacement is run smoothly      
- To check daily data accuracy.   
- To work in accordance with HSE procedures.


General Responsibility
- To ensure sufficient and proper tools are available and used at all times.  
- To wear company’s uniform and personal protective equipment at all time at all designated areas.
- To carry out any instructions or duty as and when assigned to by the company’s management.
- Team player and trustworthy.

Authority
- To shut down the plant, if necessary, by Operation Supervisor or O&M Manager’s approval.
- To take corrective or preventive action to solve the production’s problem.
- To appoint his supervising operator to replace the absent operator.
- To appraise the operator’s achievement and performance and to advise the operator under his supervising.
