What the day will look like
The Chief of Staff is responsible for leading all aspects of all strategic and tactical initiatives of Human Capital Solutions in LatAm, coordinating priorities that support growth plans, driving and supporting the implementation of various projects, and acting as a liaison with the LatAm Finance team on the SL’s financial and business performance.
Reporting into the Head of Solution Line, Region (LatAm) this person will also partner with the Global Human Capital Solutions team and actively collaborate with Human Capital Solutions leadership in our three subregions across Latin America.
+ Work with Regional Head to set strategic priorities and implement through a broad range of partners, acting as a change agent in partnership with ABS, People and MarComm;
+ Drive collaboration with LatAm HC leaders on the development, planning and monitoring of key critical initiatives, including supporting prioritization and alignment with objectives;
+ Supervise business and financial performance and see opportunities for improvement;
+ Identify market opportunities for innovation and solution development, supporting closely the case approval at regional or country level (collaborating with geo leadership);
+ Find opportunities for harmony, efficiency and new central initiatives, providing analysis, monitoring, building cases and recommended solutions/options regarding decisions to be made or problems to be solved;
+ Coordinate the execution of critical initiatives approved for the Region/SL that are presented at the Regional level (Latin America) or at the Global leadership level, adjusting them to local reality where applicable and needed;
+ Fulfill all Planning & Business Management duties on behalf of Latam Head of Human Capital, Latin America;
+ Support the preparation of briefings and reports for various internal and external audiences;
+ Ensure preparation and follow-up of the SL Regional Head’s meetings, including producing briefing materials, minutes, and close monitoring of the actions and deadlines agreed with the teams;
+ Support SL Regional Head in its objectives including, but not limited to, leading withing the Helix Model, Aon United agenda and delivery of Aon’s value proposition.
How this opportunity is different
As part of an industry-leading team, you will support and own the development of strategic plan for Human Capital in Latin America, partnering closely with countries and subregions, and our global Human Capital organization with the main goal to support and own the execution of our strategic plan. In this role, you will report to the Head of Human Capital Solution Lines in LatAm (the executive).
Skills and experience that will lead to success
+ Deep understanding of business environment in Latin America, trends and macroeconomic factors impacting our business;
+ Prior exposure to P&L management and solid financial skill;
+ Ability to communicate and connect easily; and to deal with sophisticated, ambiguous, and fast-changing situations;
+ Goals and deadline orientated;
+ Hard-working and motivated, with an ability to show initiative in all situations;
+ Hands-on experience driving and delivering sophisticated projects to completion;
+ Strong work ethic, confidentiality and able to work/deal with highly critical information;
+ Analytical capabilities and critical thinking to drive strategic insights to improve the business;
+ Demonstrated ability to adapt to new environments and lead and motivate change;
+ Great teammate, able to identify required skills in an inclusive and diverse team and distribute workload accordingly and supervise progress;
+ Educated to university degree level;
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
+ Fluent in Spanish and English. Background experience in Insurance Market and Portuguese are differentials.
