Responsibilities

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) holds dual responsibility for the financial leadership of Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital, encompassing both the Midtown and West campuses for a combined 840 staffed beds. This executive role is accountable for sustaining and advancing the Mission, Vision, and Values of the local health ministries, as well as those of the broader Ascension organization. Reporting directly to the Ascension Saint Thomas Ministry Market Chief Financial Officer, the hospital CFO ensures the effective and efficient financial operations of both campuses.

 

Serve as a member of the executive team and provide leadership in setting and developing strategic initiatives.Recommend strategies designed to achieve financial, strategic, operational, as well as system objectives and goals.Plan and coordinate financial resources.Serve as liaison on financial matters among executive leadership, and management.Monitor financial performance, conduct organization-wide performance improvement activities, and maintain financial plans and forecasts.Ensure that financial needs are met and that budgets and projections are completed timely and accurately.Collaborate with the finance team to coordinate major projects and system initiatives.Implement processes to ensure the timely completion of all financial activity requirements for the system office and the Board of Directors.

Requirements

Education:

Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 4 of those years being in leadership/management.
Additional Preferences Master's degree preferred.3-5 years of leadership experience.
