Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer with a proven track record to lead and mentor our facilities maintenance team. The ideal candidate will coach and develop newer team members, ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of our facilities. This position requires overseeing the upkeep of 12 buildings, soon to be 13, located across various locations.
ResponsibilitiesLead the general maintenance and orderliness of the property and oversee the maintenance systems to ensure optimal operations and client/tenant satisfaction.Complete work orders related to physical maintenance and repairs using work order software programs.Respond to emergency situations in accordance with departmental protocol.Assist in establishing and maintaining all equipment, tools, and supply inventories and logs.Implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan and maintain all related records and logs.Control expenses associated with the operation of the buildings.Communicate effectively regarding building status and changes.Act professionally and courteously with tenants, clients, co-workers, vendors, and patients.Utilize materials, supplies, tools, and other building property safely and productively.Perform HVAC preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.Manage electrical wiring and installation for outlets, furniture, and fans.Conduct painting, carpentry, and flooring maintenance.Handle plumbing tasks for sinks, restrooms, and kitchens.Perform minor appliance repairs.Manage furniture and Trane Tracer controls.Essential Skills5+ years of facilities maintenance experience.5+ years of supervision experience.Experience with HVAC and BAS systems.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Basic aptitude for mathematics and computer skills.Excellent interpersonal skills for teamwork and positive client/tenant/co-worker relations.Additional Skills & QualificationsCFC Handling Certification preferred.Trade School Certifications preferred.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work involves maintaining a 90,000 sq. ft. medical office building, with occasional travel to other facilities as required by work orders. Working hours are Monday through Friday, with an on-call rotation for weekends. Hours may vary between 7AM-4PM or 8AM-5PM depending on work orders.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Round Rock, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
