To manage the overall operations and resources of the company and accountable for its overall success, the President plays a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of the organization. This executive position involves making high-level decisions about policy and strategy, reporting directly to the board of directors, and keeping them informed on key developments. The President is responsible for developing the company's culture and overall vision, creating an environment that fosters great performance and positive morale among employees. Additionally, the President ensures that all legal and regulatory documents are filed appropriately and oversees the day-to-day operations of the company to ensure smooth functioning.
In addition to these responsibilities, the President must possess the mental acumen, physical ability, education, and applicable experience necessary to perform the position hierarchy requisites safely and efficiently. This includes being able to traverse up to 5 miles in an 8-hour day, ascend and descend up to 75 or more steps as required, lift up to 40 pounds 10 times in an 8-hour day, and intelligibly read, write, and speak English. The President must also be able to effectively communicate verbally and with a computer, as well as endure temperatures of 105°F for up to 4 hours in an 8-hour day. Furthermore, it is essential for the President to possess and maintain sufficient mental acumen and physical agility and conditioning to comply with all Company policies, procedures, rules, and the terms of any applicable labor agreement, including the Attendance Policy.
Work Experience
Possess a 4-year Bachelor of Science degree in a technical discipline, preferably accompanied by a Master of Science, Master of Arts, or Master of Business Administration degree, along with a decade of experience at a senior level in steel finishing operations,
Possess outstanding knowledge of financial and operational aspects across the steel industry,
Exhibit exceptional skills in decision-making, problem-solving, critical thinking, and analysis,
Demonstrate excellent technical proficiency in Microsoft Server and Office components, as well as computer and communication systems,
Display exceptional leadership abilities, along with strong verbal and written communication skills,
Have a proven track record of effectively leading and supervising the work of up to 20 full-time employees, utilizing independent judgment or showing the potential to do so,
Offer strategic planning and vision for both short-term and long-term goals,
Possess a strong business acumen and a solid focus on teamwork.
