Position Overview: The Senior Estimator is responsible for overseeing and developing cost estimates for electrical systems in construction projects. They will manage and review electrical bid documents in order to accurately estimate project costs and prepare bids.

Key Responsibilities:

Examine bid documents, review project plans, and consult with engineers and other staff to accurately assess construction costsOrganize and evaluate electrical system designs and plan materials and labor costsCompile data from various sources to create cost estimates for projectsAnalyze project risk factors and adjust costs accordinglyPrepare bids for project bids and review them for accuracy and completenessMaintain up-to-date knowledge of construction industry trends and best practicesIdentify cost saving opportunities and strategies to improve bidsPrepare reports and presentations for clients and senior management

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field10+ years of experience in cost estimating, project management, or a related fieldExtensive knowledge of electrical systems and the construction industryStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), Trimble Viewpoint Spectrum
