Introduction

 

We are looking for a Chief Engineer, Plant Engineering (Layout & Piping) to join Metso Metals´ Plant Engineering team in Espoo, Finland. In this position, you will lead Layout and/or Piping design activities as part of our global plant delivery projects. This role is an excellent chance to utilize your skills and experience and put them into action. You get to work with an easygoing team, great colleagues and stakeholders locally and globally in a world-leading technology company and take an important role in the Metso Metals Delivery organization. In this position, you will report to Director, Plant Engineering Layout, Piping & Diagrams.

 

This position is located in Espoo, Finland, and we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. The ability to travel occasionally to customer sites is required. 

 

What you do

 

Lead plant Layout and/or Piping design in projects Lead the projects' Layout and/or Piping team and manage quality, schedule and cost in your discipline Manage subcontracted engineering work and participate in the resourcing of projects Ensure engineering according to Metso´s business process and the Metals refining technology requirements Provide support and plant requirements to equipment engineering, other disciplines and procurement Participate in developing Metso's Metal refining plants and engineering solutions

 

Who you are

 

A technical degree (B.Eng., M.Eng. or M.Sc.) 5+ years' experience in Plant Engineering or related experience (It is also possible to apply with a little less experience with potential to grow gradually into a Chief Engineer role) A proactive mindset with curiosity to solve different problems Ability to work independently and in a group setting Good cooperation skills and the ability to work in a global, matrix organisation Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English Experience in the following CAD tools; Aveva E3D, PDMS, Microstation 3D or AutoCad Plant 3D is an advantage
