They will build out the data strategy with leaders across these key stakeholders. This leader will have proven expertise in regulatory delivery and driving business transformation and will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of the business priorities, defining the strategy and executing against it, partnering with the business teams to implement data governance and management, while building out a best-in-class team **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. 1. Accountable for the design, build and execution of the Business Unit (BU) / Corporate Functions (CF) data & analytics strategy and roadmap. This includes partnership with the C-level BU / CF executive to align the strategy with the business vision and priorities. 2. Partner with the BU / CF C-level executive to transform the business through enabling data and analytics to re-engineer processes, become a data driven decision organization and operationalize those decisions for a sustainable business. 3. Implement data governance standards, data frameworks, policies, data quality, data lineage and controls across the BU / CF critical business processes. 4. Accountable for executive closure for specific BU / CF data & analytics audit issues, controls issues, MRAs, MRIAs, MRBAs and self identified issues. 5. Partner with BU / CF teams to drive and execute innovation, AI / ML initiatives and generative AI foundational capabilities to transform business processes. 6. Build out a team based upon agile delivery to support sustainable data operations, business resiliency, and execution of BU /CF priorities. 7. Assess the full BU / CF current state of platforms, tools, and critical business processes to build a future state strategy aligned to the Truist enterprise strategy. Accountable for the execution in partnership with the BU / CF to obtain that future state. 8. Partner with the BU / CF organization to implement the Truist enterprise operating model, while bringing best in class industry practices to improve people, process, and technology. 9. Accountable for building out and managing the data team including the data engineers, data analysts, data management and reporting teams. 10. Stay up to speed on emerging industry and technologies while bringing those new practices to Truist. **QUALIFICATIONS** **Required Qualifications:** The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering 2. Fifteen plus years experience leading teams in a matrix environment 3. Experience in financial services or payments industry 4. Experience in meeting regulatory obligations and operating in a highly regulatory environment 5. Experience in building a high performing team 6. May travel up to 75% **Preferred Qualifications:** 1. Expert in solution designs based upon business requirements 2. Previous Head of Data, LOB CDO or head of engineering 3.
