The Chief Architect will serve as the top-level design authority for Watts’ global IT landscape, leading the development and governance of an enterprise architecture (EA) that aligns with our strategic priorities: modernizing the core, enabling data-driven insights, scaling smart factory capabilities, and enhancing customer connectivity through digital.
This role is both visionary and hands-on, responsible for driving simplification, standardization, and scalability across a fragmented IT ecosystem while partnering with senior business and technology leaders to shape the future.
You Will:
+ Define and continuously evolve the enterprise architecture vision and roadmap across business, application, data, technology, and security domains.
+ Partner with the CIO, executive leadership, and business stakeholders to align technology decisions with strategic objectives, especially in ERP modernization, cloud adoption, and smart products.
+ Act as a key advisor during M&A activity to evaluate integration and technology fit.
+ Establish architecture principles, guardrails, and governance processes that support decentralized execution with centralized alignment.
+ Oversee solution review and design assurance for major initiatives.
+ Lead the rationalization of legacy platforms and technical debt toward a scalable and secure hybrid-cloud architecture.
+ Architect the future state for integrated ERP (e.g., SAP S/4HANA), middleware, master data, analytics, and customer-facing platforms.
+ Support IT operations and cyber teams in aligning infrastructure and security architectures.
+ Influence and mentor solution architects, data architects, and business analysts across global teams.
+ Build and nurture an architecture community of practice across Watts' business units and regions.
You Have:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master's or MBA preferred.
+ 20+ years of progressive IT experience with at least 5 years in enterprise or solution architecture leadership roles.
+ Deep expertise in ERP (preferably SAP), cloud platforms (AWS preferred), and API/microservices-based architectures.
+ Demonstrated success leading architectural transformation in a global manufacturing or industrial company.
+ Ability to travel up to 50%.

The expected salary range for this position is $230,000-280,000 yearly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
