Job Summary
The Chest Pain Coordinator oversees the standards and practices within the Chest Pain Center to create a safe and efficient environment for Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) patients. This role leads the coordination among team members involved in the Chest Pain Center, focusing on improving cardiac care quality through planning, development, and implementation of program goals. The Chest Pain Coordinator monitors the continuous quality improvement (CQI) process, ensuring regulatory compliance, and serves as a key resource for staff.
Essential Functions
Qualifications
0-2 years of experience in cardiac or emergency care, with experience in program coordination requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of cardiovascular care, chest pain management, and cardiac emergency protocols. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and emergency medical services. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and documentation standards. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to oversee program development and accreditation processes.Licenses and Certifications
RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required or CRT - Certified Radiologic Technologist required or RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist required BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of employment required ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred
