CGL is a fully integrated service responsible for delivering a range of interventions and we are currently seeking a Chemsex Recovery Worker to join our passionate and dedicated team in Newham.

 

Where: Newham

Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week 

Full Time Salary Range: £27,861.26 - £32,002.35 (pro rata for part time hours) 

Allowance: £4,133.14 Inner London Weighting (paid pro rata)

Contract: Fixed term until 31st March 2026

 

*Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours. 

Responsibilities

About the role:

 

Support individuals engaging in or impacted by those engaged in ChemsexCo-develop and deliver workshops covering ham reduction and relapse prevention skills specific to LGBTQiA+ individuals engaging in ChemsexDeliver outreach and support at partner locations, including local sexual health services, live sex venues and LGBTQiA+ community venuesBuild relationships and collaborations within the sexual health and drug & alcohol sectorDeliver assessments and care planning to support LGBTQIA+ individuals in meeting individual goals

 

About you:

 

Demonstrable relevant experience in crisis support/intervention, key working/case management, group facilitation and peer-led interventionsExperience in the field of substance misuse or a related field is preferred but we will welcome applications from all backgrounds if you share our values and are committed to learnSpecific knowledge of the substance use and sexual health needs of LGBTQiA+ individualsHave a flair for developing productive multidisciplinary relationshipsExperience of defining, developing, implementing, and evaluating interventions and servicesAn ability to collaborate with people from a wide range of backgrounds in a variety of settings in a respectful and empowering way
