Overview
Our client in the CPG industry is seeking a Chemist to join their team! If you have experience with batching, formulations, and stability testing, and are interested in working with vitamins, oral care products, and specialty hair and skincare products, consider applying for this exciting opportunity!
Responsibilities Conducts bench top formulation of VMS, Oral Care and specialty hair and skin care products; monitor stability, conduct lab testing to ensure the formulas to meet specifications over shelf life Designs and reviews experimental plan with supervisor, conducts experiments, analyzes data and presents findings to draw conclusions, recommend directions Maintains complete and accurate records of experimental studies in lab notebook and provides timely reports Works with cross-functional teams to put together qualification plans, conduct testing, transfer technical information to pilot lab and manufacturing sites, and execute project under the direction of supervisor Attends project team and timeline review meetings as appropriate to provide overall project update in the development process Supports marketed products by updating and maintaining electronic product files and specifications and relevant documentation to support overall project Adhere to and follow established procedures and policies for working in the laboratory designated for the development of FDA regulated products Assist in maintaining laboratory compliance including equipment maintenance
Requirements B.S. or M.S degree from an accredited institution in Biochemistry/Chemistry/ Food Science/ Biology or related disciplines 2+ years of industry experience in a related technical field (internship or co-op experience is preferred) General technical knowledge in product formulation with the ability to suggest experiments, analyze data, draw conclusions, and recommend actions Basic knowledge of FDA regulatory requirements for OTC products Ability to prioritize and will be responsible for multiple projects simultaneously (projects may include both laboratory and documentation needs) Ability and interest in working in a cross-functional environment involving processing, packaging, analytical, safety and clinical regulatory, manufacturing operations, procurement, etc. Excellent written and oral skills with ability to deliver topline reports to management Exhibits strong organizational, planning, prioritizing, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and report findings to supervisor System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
