Job Description
Join a dynamic and regulated bioanalytical team as an Chemist where you will engage in biological extractions on samples such as urine, blood, and plasma. Begin your journey focusing on wet lab extractions, gradually transitioning into LC-MS (HPLC-Mass Spec) after six months. Additionally, you will operate robotics for liquid handling and work with balances, pH meters, and pipettes. You will use eWorkbook software, providing each chemist with a tablet, while adhering to GLP regulations.
ResponsibilitiesPerform biological extractions on samples including urine, blood, and plasma.Focus initially on wet lab extractions, transitioning to LC-MS (HPLC-Mass Spec) after six months.Operate robotics for liquid handling.Utilize balances, pH meters, and pipettes efficiently.Work under GLP regulations and get trained on analytical instrumentation swiftly if experienced.Essential SkillsB.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a related Life Science degree.1+ year of chemistry in school or undergraduate research experience.1-2 years of industry chemistry lab experience in a GMP environment running HPLC or LC-MS instrumentation.Experience with HPLC, LC-MS, or Mass Spec is highly desirable.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong attention to detail.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Experience in food service, bartending, or client-facing roles is beneficial.Capability to multitask effectively.Demonstrated high ownership of work and responsibility for recognizing and correcting errors.Work Environment
The position is set in a lab environment within the bioanalytical team, consisting of approximately 100 employees with a primary focus on laboratory work.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
