Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Chemist to join our team in a quality control laboratory setting. The role involves testing finished products, raw materials, in-process samples, components, and stability study samples, with a focus on new ANDA oral dose products. The position requires proficiency in using titrations, pH measurements, specific gravity assessments, and HPLC techniques within the QC department. The Chemist will also be responsible for inspecting supplies and ingredients used in pharmaceutical production, reviewing SOPs and lab protocols for accuracy, and performing some instrument validation. Adherence to GMP and FDA guidelines is crucial, with a high emphasis on data integrity and documentation for testing protocols.
ResponsibilitiesPerform daily testing using HPLC, GC, TOC, FT-IR, UV-Vis, and pH meters.Inspect supplies and ingredients used for pharmaceutical production.Review SOPs and lab protocols for accuracy.Conduct instrument validation as needed.Ensure compliance with GMP and FDA guidelines.Maintain thorough documentation for testing protocols and executed tests.Focus on data integrity in adherence to FDA guidelines.Essential Skills3-5+ years of experience with HPLC/GC in the pharmaceutical industry.Bachelor's degree with a major in chemistry.Hands-on experience with GC, HPLC, FTIR, and wet chemistry techniques.Strong knowledge of GMP and GDP practices.Ability to maintain accurate laboratory notebook documentation.Additional Skills & QualificationsPreferred 4-year experience in the pharmaceuticals industry.Familiarity with Agilent OpenLab software.Good handwriting skills for laboratory documentation.Work Environment
The position is located in a QC lab specializing in oral rinse and antiseptic solutions, focusing on new ANDA oral dose products. The work environment is within a growing pharmaceutical lab, offering opportunities for exposure to a variety of analytical and wet chemistry techniques. The Chemist will work during the 1st shift, either from 8 am to 4 pm or 9 am to 5 pm.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $34.00/hr.
