Job Description
As a Chemical Technician, you will safely and efficiently manage the operation of plasma reactors according to production schedules. Your role is crucial in monitoring and adjusting reactor parameters in real-time to optimize performance and ensure output quality. You will be responsible for operating and cleaning production equipment, including reactors, pumps, tanks, blenders, and absorbers, and performing diversified tasks to install and maintain production machinery and plant facilities.
ResponsibilitiesPerform regular maintenance of reactors and associated equipment.Diagnose and troubleshoot operational issues, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime.Ensure that produced fertilizers meet predefined quality standards through tests and inspections.Work closely with engineers to refine production techniques and suggest improvements.Adhere to all workplace safety guidelines and participate in safety drills and training sessions.Maintain accurate production data records and generate reports for management review.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including research and development, to support new fertilizer formulations or production methods.Essential SkillsProficiency in using power tools and handling installations.Ability to wear a respirator.Strong understanding of chemical processes and safety protocols.Mechanical installation skills, experience working with hoses, cords, tubing, and PVC piping.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to use a forklift.Mechanically inclined with skills in troubleshooting and operating machinery.Experience in operating scissor lifts and other heavy equipment.Technical knowledge in chemistry and general production processes.Why Work Here

Work Environment
The work environment is a start-up setting within a large warehouse that can be cold or hot at times. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses is required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fremont, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
