We are seeking a Laboratory Technician responsible for conducting analytical testing support by adhering to established procedures and techniques. The role focuses primarily on traditional 'wet' analytical tests including titrations, specific gravity, pH, and viscosity measurements. The technician will be responsible for communicating results clearly to peers, customers, and project teams through email and entry into Data Reporting software.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct analytical testing using established procedures, focusing on wet chemistry techniques such as titrations, specific gravity, pH, and viscosity.
+ Communicate test results clearly to peers, customers, and project teams via email and data reporting software.
+ Operate laboratory equipment to perform tests and measurements.
+ Ensure all activities adhere to general laboratory safety practices.
+ Follow and execute written analytical test methods accurately.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in chemistry and laboratory techniques.
+ Experience with analytical chemistry and wet chemistry methods.
+ Ability to operate equipment for measuring pH, specific gravity, and viscosity.
+ Experience with titration, both manual and automated.
+ Knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
+ Strong analytical chemistry bench skills, including weighing, sample transfer, and pipetting.
+ Ability to quickly learn the operation of basic analytical laboratory equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Demonstrated ability to follow and execute written analytical test methods.
+ General laboratory safety knowledge.
Work Environment
This position is based in an on-site laboratory environment, operating weekdays from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. The role provides a great entry-level opportunity to support R&D teams, offering exposure to various projects and tasks. Candidates will work alongside different chemists and scientists, allowing networking opportunities that could lead to full-time positions after the contract period.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
