The person we are looking for is an expert in risk and safety evaluation of processes involving hazardous chemicals and in chemical related requirements from the Danish Authorities ensuring the Campus Brabrand site’s right to operate.
New exiting R&D opportunities and challenges are expected to create an increased influx of many more chemical mixtures and generate even more complexity in the registration and handling process at the site. Hence, we are applying for a new colleague to help lift this task.
As part of our EHS organization, you will support the entire safety organization on site and report to our EHS manager.
You will be responsible for the integration and management of internal policies and legal requirements from the Danish Authorities. You will have the responsibility of maintaining, developing, leveraging & implementing an effective management program for chemical agents/mixtures including chemical risk evaluations, permits, and internal safety policies.
Key responsibilities:
Implementation of chemical risk evaluation for chemical processes at Campus BrabrandRegistration of new hazardous chemicals and mixtures arriving at the siteApplying and maintaining permits for chemicals (toxins, narcotics, explosives, etc.)Administrator for registration system for chemicals and mixturesCalculation of hazard labelling of mixtures of chemicalsExpert consultant for department specific instructions and handling of chemicalsResponsibility for compliance to Danish laws and regulations and IFF policiesPreferred skills and experience:
MSc degree in Chemistry or related fields with practical experience acquired through previous industrial or academic experienceDeep knowledge and experience with the Danish regulations with regards to chemical management and safety as well as the EU regulations on classification and labelling of chemicals and mixturesPreferred knowledge of Dansk Kemidatabase or other chemical managements systemsAlternatively: MSc. degree in Food Science with some chemical knowledgeBrilliant collaborative and project management skills with attention to detailsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsResult-driven and excellent problem-solving skillsFluent Danish and English language skillsWe are a global leader in taste, scent, and nutrition, offering our customers a broader range of natural solutions and accelerating our growth strategy.
