**Responsibilities**
As a Chemical/Container Preparation Assistant you will enjoy working with a collaborative, high-energy, quality focused team. As a member of the Preparation & Processing Team you will support the clinical and development laboratories by:
+ Preparing reagents
+ Performing quality checks of laboratory water and containers
+ Performing pipette validation
+ Prioritizing, scheduling, and delivery of containers
+ Washing and sterilizing laboratory glassware and equipment that are contaminated with biological waste
+ Picking-up and returning of processed items to laboratories using carts to move glassware throughout the building and to other locations on campus
+ Decontaminating biological waste for the department
**Extensive, on-the-job training will be provided to you.**
***Individuals hired to this position are required to complete 2 years in this position before becoming eligible to transfer to other positions within Mayo Clinic.**
****This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship; Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.**
**Qualifications**
+ Associate degree OR High School Diploma/GED AND two years of work experience including clinical laboratory and/or other relevant work experience.
A **dditional Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry or Business Administration is preferred.
+ Ability to collaborate with a team for problem resolution.
+ Ability to maintain a high level of quality and accuracy.
+ Flexibility
+ Comfortable working with chemical and biohazardous materials.

**Compensation Detail**
Required education, experience, tenure along with internal equity may be considered at the time an offer is extended. The pay range for this position is $19.05 - $25.92/ hour.
