Major Duties and Responsibilities
As a Chemical Analyst, you will:
Perform routine quantitative and qualitative biological or chemical tests using standard procedures
Operate purification equipment for manufacturing in accordance with SOPs
Support experiments to develop scaled-up purification processes
Provide technical assistance to production operations
Calibrate, troubleshoot, and validate laboratory equipment
Independently interpret specifications and procedures, and document experiments accurately
Maintain laboratory notebooks, testing records, and worksheets per established protocols
Take on additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline preferred
3–5 years of laboratory experience or equivalent academic background
Strong understanding of production and manufacturing environments
Familiarity with biological/pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment
Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to meet all customer requirements including background checks, health screenings, and security clearances
Skilled in using laboratory instruments and conducting analytical tests
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Professional demeanor with a proactive, customer-focused attitude
Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance with site protocols
Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working independently
Valid driver’s license required
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
Strong task prioritization and deadline management
Familiarity with VWR products and services is a plus
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities
