Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Chef Manager to lead culinary operations at our Corporate Dining Café in Issaquah, WA. This role is ideal for a culinary professional passionate about delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. You will oversee kitchen operations, ensure food safety and sanitation, and manage a team of culinary staff to provide an exceptional dining experience for corporate employees.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Plan and execute regular and modified menus in alignment with corporate dining standards.
+ Ensure consistent food quality, portioning, and presentation using standardized recipes.
+ Complete and utilize daily production worksheets and waste logs.
+ Taste and evaluate meals to maintain high culinary standards.
+ Train kitchen staff on food preparation, safety, equipment use, and sanitation protocols.
+ Maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for kitchen equipment and workspaces.
+ Manage inventory of food and supplies within budget while ensuring product availability.
+ Make decisions on leftover food utilization in accordance with company guidelines.
+ Ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations and pass audits successfully.
+ Follow all safety policies and procedures, including incident reporting.
+ Participate in team meetings, staff development, and professional training programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience.
+ 3–5 years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
+ Experience in corporate dining or high-volume foodservice operations is highly desirable.
+ Strong catering background is a plus.
+ Institutional and batch cooking experience preferred.
+ Hands-on chef experience is required.
+ Deep knowledge of food trends, production, sanitation, cost control, and presentation.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and internet tools.
+ ServSafe certification is highly desirable.
