A Chef de Partie - Bakery prepares and cooks according to standard procedures, recipes, photographs and given instructions, assisting the Chief Baker in training team members. The role participates in product development and ensures the smooth operation of the Bakery/Pastry kitchen.

What will I be doing?

\n

As Chef de Partie - Bakery, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: 

\n\nTo be motivated and committed, approaching all tasks with enthusiasm and seizing opportunities to learn new skills or knowledge in order to improve your personal performance.\nTo be flexible, responding quickly and positively to changing requirements including the performance of any tasks requested of you.\nTo maintain high team focus by showing co-operation and support to colleagues in the pursuit of team goals.\nTo maintain a high customer service focus by approaching job with the customers always in mind.\nTo have a positive impact, taking personal responsibility and initiative to resolve issues, always clearly communicating with both customers and colleagues.\nTo maintain a kitchen environment that promotes flair, creativity and consistency in the quality of food taste and presentation.\nTo ensure that all Food Safety Management Program polices and guidelines are followed and implemented. \nFor direct supervision of the following employees: CDPs/Commis Chefs\nTo assess and monitor cleanliness on a daily basis, ensuring that all equipment remains clean and in good working order.\nTo supervise, guide and develop chefs of a lower grade ensuring the quality of food production remains at optimum levels.\nTo liaise closely with the Chief Baker or Executive Pastry Chef ensuring food quality and preparation techniques are of the highest standard.\nTo closely monitor and control the daily food merchandise, ensuring quality of goods received, taking corrective action where necessary.\nFood Safety and Hygiene: To follow all polices and guide lines are followed.\nTo follow Hiltons Fire & Safety procedures.\nEnsuring all Hotel policies and procedures are correctly observed and followed.\nPerforming any additional tasks as delegated by management or guests to ensure our guests receive outstanding service.\nResponsible for the bakery products in all F&B outlets in the absence of the Chief Baker \nTo organize and responsible for all bakery matter request through daily Banquet Event Order \nTo ensure correct preparation and presentation of a consistent level for all food items prepared \nTo plan and develop bread, breakfast pastries, pies, for the hotel considering factors such as product and availability and service costs. \nApproach food preparation with creativity and innovation.\nSupervise and lead team members effectively, ensuring smooth operations.\nMaintain a positive attitude, fostering a collaborative and motivating environment.\nCommunicate effectively with team members and customers, ensuring clarity and understanding.\nCommit to delivering exceptional customer service consistently.\nUphold excellent grooming standards, reflecting the organization’s professionalism.\nDemonstrate strong planning and organizational skills to ensure efficient workflow.\nShow a willingness to learn and adapt to new methods and techniques.\nAssist the Chief Baker in managing duty rosters, including annual leave (AL) and public holiday (PH) scheduling.\nIdentify challenges proactively and propose constructive solutions to resolve issues efficiently.\n\n

\n\nThrough hands on management, supervise closely all Commis Chefs in the performance of their duties in accordance with policies and procedures and applicable laws.\nDelegate appropriately, duties and responsibilities to equipped and resourced employees, nurturing and developing them whilst ensuring standards of operation and safety are maintained.\nEnsure employees have a complete understanding of rules and regulations and that behaviour complies.\nMonitor employees morale and provide mechanisms for performance feedback and development \nAssists in conducting annual performance appraisals providing honest and appropriate feedback \nEffectively communicate guiding principles and core values to all levels of employees.\n\n
