Job Description Are you an experienced shipping professional with a strong network in the gas shipping sector? On behalf of our client, we are seeking a driven and independent Chartering Executive to join their commercial team, focusing on vessel chartering and cargo coordination. You will be part of a fast-paced and dynamic environment where market insight, relationship management, and operational precision are key. This role requires a strong executor – someone who takes ownership, follows through, and consistently delivers results. Our client is looking for action-oriented individuals who work effectively within an established commercial framework. This position suits those who focus on execution and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Chartering Operations: Secure both spot and term gas vessel charters (LPG/LNG), negotiating competitive freight rates and charter party terms. Operational Management: Monitor and coordinate all aspects of voyages post-fixture, ensuring compliance and performance throughout. Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with charterers, brokers, port agents, and terminals to maintain smooth cargo movement and resolve issues promptly. Client & Market Engagement: Develop strong relationships with clients and brokers while keeping up with freight market trends and vessel availability. Problem Solving: Proactively manage voyage or contract-related issues to ensure minimal disruption and cost impact. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and departments to align on commercial and operational priorities.
Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in the gas shipping sector (LPG/LNG) or chartering with transferable skills. Strong attention to detail and thorough understanding of charter party terms. Independent, results-focused, and dependable. Well-organized, with excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
