Position Summary

Sovah Health is looking for the ideal candidate who will assist physicians and other medical personnel in achieving timely, accurate, and complete documentation practices.Analyzes the assembled record for chart completion deficiencies, in accordance with regulatory requirements and medical staff rules and regulations.
· Ensures any deficiencies are assigned to the appropriate medical staff member and data is entered for tracking and monitoring purposes.
· Reviews documentation and updates or clears the deficiencies as appropriate. Reports monthly statistics.
· Responsible for answering telephone calls and assisting visitors (including but not limited to physicians, patients, and their family members), while maintaining confidentiality.
· Processes (Preps & Scans Forms & Indexes) and analyzes (ICR) of inpatient, outpatient and ER records.

*Minimum Qualifications***
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Knowledge of computers and medical/office experience/training required.
Must have good verbal and written communication: dependability, accuracy, approachable, multi-task oriented, customer service, job performance, ability to type 30 wpm with high degree of accuracy.
Typical physical demands: Sitting for long periods of time; ability to bend, stoop and walk.
