Charge RN (Registered Nurse) Medical Tele - Full Time Nights
**We’re looking for a qualified Registered Nurse like you to join our department in a Charge Nurse role** · Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104 · Work environment: Medical Telemetry unit **Work hours:** Full Time (6:30 PM -7 AM) for 36 hrs/week. Weekend and holiday requirements **Department highlights:** · Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth · Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team · 28 bed Med surg Tele unit improves the quality of care for the tele patient. Patients are admitted to this floor for multiple acute chronic diseases such as pneumonia, sepsis, pancreatitis, weakness, failure to thrive, GI bleeds, Diverticulitis, trachs, DKA, BKA, infections, diabetic, renal, urology with traveling tele beds. **This is what you need** · Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma; BSN preferred · Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire · BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly · ACLS – within 90 days of hire - expiration date greater than 3 months preferred · 1-year experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting required · 2-years experience as a clinical nurse in medical tele preferred In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will · demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment. · maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients · possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism · have basic computer skills using Medical management application systems Position Responsibilities As a Charge Nurse you will * communicate and collaborate with all members of the health care team * support and actively participate in shared governance/councils * be committed to developing your individual knowledge and skills, as well as advancing the profession of nursing and engaging in lifelong learning/development. * evaluate the effectiveness of interventions * directly assist leadership on a particular unit or units and shift, by offering staff guidance and support, maintaining a clean and safe work environment and ensuring unit operational tasks are completed.
