Summary:

The Operating Room Charge RN responsibilities include: 

Proficient in the care of a sub-specialty group of patients utilizing effective managerial skills Acts as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team Is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization Acts as a mentor and resource expert, supports and shares organizational information to all team members Performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned 

This position requires a minimum of 2 years RN experience. For this position, we strongly prefer at least 2 years Operating Room experience as an RN. Charge experience is preferred. Board running experience is preferred.

Clinical skills appropriate to position Interpersonal skills 

 Certifications and Licensures: 

BLS (Basic Life Support) RN (Registered Nurse) ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department Preferred Nurse Specialty 

 Education: 

Bachelor's Nursing or Bachelor's Science in related field or RN Certification in related field 

Experience: 

Required includes 2 years acute care experience or 2 years Interventional/Procedural Preferred Experience includes 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship.
