Shift: Monday-Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm (No Call)

Pre-Employment Requirements:

We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required.

Education/License/Experience: 

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current nursing license in the state of Alabama.  Two years of operating room experience required, preferably in orthopedics.  Must have current CPR and ACLS certification.

Other Qualifications: 

 

Must be a full-time employee and be flexible in job duties and work schedule. Preferred accomplishments include experience in Orthopedic and outpatient surgery.  Must be able to communicate effectively and have an ability to work compatibly with all physicians and staff.   Possess strong organizational skills and a clear understanding of the importance of efficiency and cost effectiveness in an outpatient surgery center.  Possess the knowledge and clinical skills to perform the job duties of an operating room nurse. Knowledge of aseptic technique and anesthetic agents and complications is required.  Must possess a thorough knowledge of all procedures performed in the Surgery Center and be able to circulate all procedures. Must have an aptitude for understanding, operating, and troubleshooting machines and equipment.
