In progress. Pref **Experience** 1 unit of CPE. Pref **Skills** Must demonstrate Graduate School level proficiency in written and verbal English. Relational skills sufficient to work effectively as a member of the department, the health care team, and to relate to community clergy. Must be able to work appropriately with highly stressed persons in both crisis and chronic situations. Must demonstrate openness and ability to learn about ministry and self. Demonstrates movement in the integration of theological, ethical, and psychological resources into compassionate pastoral care. Shows competent use of computers, patient charting and electronic communication tools. Ability to relate to people of all faiths and cultures. Ability to offer religious and spiritual rituals as requested by patients and staff, and able to make referrals to outside faith leaders when appropriate. Ability to promote meaning-making and expressions of faith in the hospital setting. Works effectively with people during crisis and bereavement, offering compassionate care and support. Work with staff to provide a safe ear, support and counsel. Works effectively with HIPAA rules and regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
