Develop knowledge and skills in pastoral care and administration in order to practice competently in a clinical setting.
Provide pastoral care to patients, families, staff and physicians as requested by Director, providing on-call coverage as assigned
Provide leadership in religious services as assigned
Participate in continuing education events as offered by department and others
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

EDUCATION:
-High school diploma and bachelor’s degree and/or has completed on the job experience/training which allows the Chaplain to obtain required certification. Masters is preferred.
-Four unit of clinical pastoral education (ACPE): (2 units of ACPE certification and working to complete 2 additional units of ACPE certification is required)
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 3 years of clinical ministry is required
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Demonstration of basic pastoral skills
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:
Ordination in approved religious organization
Qualified to attain certification as a Board Certified Chaplain in The Association of Professional Chaplains or the National Association of Catholic Chaplains
