Chaplain
Job Overview The Chaplain is a spiritual care provider serving The Fountains at Hosanna. This position is responsible for assessing spiritual health needs and providing direct spiritual care and consultation to residents, families, and staff. Within the Spiritual Health Services (SHS) department, the Chaplain works with the interdisciplinary team and the Executive Director on site. Work responsibilities include providing worship services, bible studies or spirituality groups, facilitating support groups, identifying and responding to spiritual and emotional needs of residents and staff. The Assisted Living Chaplain connects to spiritual/religious community organizations to address specific spiritual and religious needs of residents. The position reports to the Executive Director at the site and works in coordination with the Corporate Director for Spiritual Health Services of Ebenezer. Our community is rather unique in that the chaplain is for The Fountains only. We do not share our chaplain with other sites. Our chaplain will also assist in fostering the relationship that we already have with Hosanna church. Monday - Friday day hours. However, there may be times on evenings, nights and weekends that you are called in by staff for a death or by a family or resident for spiritual support. Required Qualifications Advanced Degree: List Post baccalaureate degree or post baccalaureate degree in process in theology or religious studies or training as required by the chaplain’s faith group Graduate degree in theology from a CHEA accredited theological seminary or religious studies program 1 year One to Three Years Other License/Certification/Registration: List – One or more units of ACPE accredited Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). Must be completed within one year of hire date. The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
