Primary Purpose of the Position:
As the Channel Strategy & Development Manager for ANZ, you will serve as the key representative of the customer and/or channel, offering an external market perspective to inform the company’s overall business planning. You will play a critical role in translating the Category Vision and Brand Strategies into actionable local annual channel programs and key business development (KBD) initiatives, maximizing clister and developing local initiatives to support the delivery of key business KPIs within the market. You will focus on driving exceptional retail execution, creating superior customer value, and ensuring effective revenue management across channels.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the implementation of local channel growth strategies and plans tailored to specific channels. You will be required to have close collaboration with cluster channel strategy & development team as well as cluster sales team (alignment on strategy & key building blocks for the market), and local sales team (execution of plans).
You will be the key contributor to defining and implementation of the essential building blocks to drive business growth in key channels within the local marekt, enabling sales, market share, and overall performance acceleration.
You will lead the developmentand execution of the local annual channel program plan for the market and align on the plan with cluster channel strategy development team, maximizing the regional and cluster led initiative sn the market.
You will drive the measurement mentality with initiative KPI and ROI measurement, creating insights and learnings for future plans and will collaborate with cluster & regional teams for asset development and local sales team for in-store execution excellence.
You will develop and execute (in partnership with cluster and local sales teams) initiatives that promote strong, long-term relationships with key accounts and trade partners within the market. Ensure effective communication and collaboration to capitalize on business opportunities and drive mutual success.
You will support new product introductions by ensuring timely distribution, optimal in-store visibility, and robust promotional support within the market, including alignment on distribution plan as well as key sku stocking.
You will manage local channel development (i.e. promotions and POSM production, not creation) budgets and allocate resources efficiently to maximize return on investment (ROI), align annual budget with cluster channel strategy & development teams.
You will promote cross-functional collaboration between local and cluster channel development teams, sales and media teams to maximize the synergies, scaling up global and regional & cluster initiatives within the market and serving as a local market-back voice.
Principle Requirements:
You have Bachelor’s Degree
You have 10+ years of trade marketing/channel development experience in Consumer Durables/ Automotive / FMCG companies with focus on local execution/delivery roles
You have proven results on business delivery & demand generation
You have strategic leader with experience EXECUTING across consumer and trade touch points
You are a leader in marketing innovation, digital, ecommerce, in-store and trade channel strategy
