Geotab is seeking a Channel Marketing Manager who will be responsible for channel lifecycle marketing strategy for major market partners. What you'll do:The Channel Marketing Manager will work with Marketing and Sales leadership to set and achieve business targets, and provide monthly, quarterly and annual marketing performance. This position will be the key point of contact for the partner relationship to support the development of joint channel marketing plans that help deliver against sell-in and sell-through targets.
How you'll make an impactDriving, and executing joint marketing strategy and go-to-market planning across all aspects of the marketing mix: merchandising, sales tools, training, media publications, digital, events, etc.
Building and growing marketing relationships to influence partner mindshare for ATL and BTL initiatives.
Leverage data-driven sales, operations and management strategies to inform and scale marketing campaigns and channel programs.
Communicate internally the needs of the channel to help influence decision making.
Identify and develop required marketing assets to support marketing strategy and promote joint offerings.
Manage annual budgets and reporting against key metrics such as expected and actual outcomes. Track, measure and report marketing program success.
Lead creative campaign briefing discussions with partner contacts, with ability to drive influence with partner leadership and partner agencies.
Serve as an expert of both Geotab and partner brands, ensuring all activity delivers joint value outcomes and adheres to all privacy and data protection compliance requirements.
Facilitate roundtables, customer briefings and other forums to develop customer advocacy and VOC.
What you'll bring to the roleMinimum of 5+ years managing commercial and marketing relationships with Telecom Wireless Carriers / Fortune 500 accounts.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, Sales or related field.
Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience in a related field may be substituted.
Ability to devise effective channel strategies aligned with overall marketing and business objectives, considering target audience, market trends, and competitive landscape; disciplined strategic planning, execution and analysis of all programs to maximize customer loyalty and optimize promotional strategies; strong critical thinking skills and proven track record leading innovative business improvements in multichannel environments.
Partner Relationship Management: Skill in building and maintaining strong relationships with channel partners to drive mutual growth and achieve sales targets.
Proficiency in developing comprehensive marketing plans tailored for different channels, including promotions, advertising campaigns, incentives, and sales support materials; demonstrated experience executing on plans driving cross-channel portfolio growth through scalable marketing strategy.
Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Geotab products or services being marketed, including features, benefits, competitive advantages, and target customer segments.
Ability to leverage market research, competitive analysis to identify channel opportunities, trends, and potential challenges.
Skill in analyzing marketing data, such as sales figures, ROI, and channel performance metrics, to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and optimize future strategies.
Capability to provide training, resources, and support to channel partners to enhance their understanding of products/services and improve their sales effectiveness.
Understanding of brand guidelines and ability to ensure consistent brand messaging and positioning across all channel marketing activities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams (e.g., sales, product development, marketing) and external partners to align channel marketing activities with overall business goals; experience influencing price, distribution and merchandising placement across functions and levels as well as launching rewards/recognition/spiff programs.
Experience in developing and managing channel marketing budgets, allocating resources effectively, and maximizing ROI.
Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and develop creative solutions to address channel-specific challenges or opportunities; ability to execute against multiple priorities and excel in a fast-paced, results-oriented work environment.
Skill in managing multiple projects simultaneously, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
