Job Description

Position location/hybrid – Hybrid, 3 days per week, in Deerfield, IL.

Occasional travel required (up to 20%).

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and own the overall channel marketing strategy. Assess current programs, identify gaps, and build a forward-looking plan that aligns with business goals and P&L objectives.Execution Excellence: Lead the planning and execution of channel-specific marketing campaigns and programs. Ensure all initiatives are delivered on time, on budget, and with measurable results.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Product Management, Brand, and Digital teams to align on priorities, support product launches, and drive channel growth initiatives.Market & Competitive Insights: Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive activity to inform strategy and optimize marketing efforts.Sales Enablement: Ensure the sales team is equipped with modern marketing tools, compelling collateral, and training to drive success in the field.Performance Measurement: Track and report on the effectiveness of channel marketing programs. Continuously refine strategies based on data and feedback.

Additional responsibilities:

Design the retail channel marketing strategy.  Influence, and align with sales colleagues, key internal business partners, and other cross-functional teamsDevelop & execute retail channel off-shelf promotional strategiesDevelop & execute retail channel merchandising strategies to elevate our brand experience with consumersCollaborate with Product Management teams to identify and implement growth initiatives within our current product portfolio as well as expansion areas.Understand business unit P&L objectives to make sound go-to-market recommendations in order to drive top and bottom-line growth.Collaborate with sales, product management, and brand execution teams in the areas of:Growth initiativesProgram development and implementationResearch including competitive insights and recommendationsPresentations and training delivery on new and existing productsDevelop & execute Tradeshow strategy & executionDevelop & execute sales enablement content – print, digital, and marketing content portalServe as key contributor to new product commercialization planning & execution; represent the retail channel in Commercialization & Go-to-Market decisionsProvide input to brand, digital, video & merchandising messaging and ensure they align with the overall channel strategy and drive the best possible consumer experience.  Drive prioritization and execution of channel-specific content in partnership with cross-functional teams.Build and maintain channel expertise through customer collaboration and presentations, attendance at industry events, competitive analysis and close collaboration with sales and business unit partners.Lead cross-functional planning to ensure alignment and preparedness across multiple stakeholders – delivering on time and on-quality workPartner with brand execution team to ensure development of digital collateral to drive product launches, promotions, key marketing campaigns, programs within channel and customer-specific marketing.Analyze market data, trends, consumer preferences, and competitor behavior to optimize marketing strategies.Evaluate and improve existing channel marketing strategiesDevelop, execute, and track annual marketing budgeting process.

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field.Minimum of five (5) years of product management, or marketing experience required. Channel Leadership experience preferred. Experience within the Consumer/Durable Goods industry preferred.Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate and build trust.Demonstrated solid analytical skills and problem-solving ability with basic financial acumen.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business.Strong multi-tasking and project management skillsStrong resilience to find solutions; independent thinking and problem-solving.Growth mindset – demonstrated ability, and desire to rapidly learn.Experience managing agency partners preferred.

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $70,000 USD - $110,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
