Reporting to an Organizational Development Manager or Geographical Human Resources Manager. Responsible for the delivery of management development initiatives and programmes. Would participate in ad-hoc project work and contribute to the design and development of new approaches and solutions.
Typical Accountabilities
As a Learning Partner
• Identifies, analyses training and development needs of the organization and its employees, and implementing training policies and procedures
• Develops an overall learning programs and plan to meet the current and planned requirements of the organization
• Directs the organization's training and development activities in order to ensure that training activities are conducted efficiently, cost-effectively, and in accordance with the organization's policies and standards
• Develops, delivers, and evaluates training programmes and curriculum so that the know-how, skills, and performance of employees meet the organization's current and future requirements
• Liaises with functional or operational area managers to develop and implement training, development, and succession plans that are appropriate for their business needs, but consistent with the organization's overall training strategy
• Selects and manages ongoing relationships with external consultants and training providers to ensure that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service
• Provides first level supervision to training and development consultants
• Keeps up-to-date on developments and innovations in learning in industry and government education sectors so that the organization's training activities remain current and relevant
• Conduct regular assessments of development programs and communication channels, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and optimizing for sustained improvement.
• Deliver professional capability development program within IPR through detailed planning, comprehensive definition, and seamless operational delivery of an integrated development proposition.
• Analyses data insights to evaluate the success of organizational changes, assess risks, and make strategic recommendations to leaders on improving talent deployment, workforce capabilities, and organizational culture.
As a change enabler
• Support the HR Lead by design, execute, and measure organizational transformation programs, ensuring alignment with workforce planning, restructuring, and culture engagement goals.
• Assist people leaders in creating and implementing strategies that enhance employee engagement, drive retention efforts, and empower employees during organizational uncertainty or change.
• Apply change management frameworks to ensure transparent communication, robust stakeholder alignment, and organizational readiness fostering growth and high performance.
• Partner with key stakeholders, SLT and functional leaders to shape, refine, and finalize a robust and detailed strategic capability development plan.
• Facilitate cultural transformation initiatives towards learning and growth mindset, embedding organizational core values and promoting progressive mindsets through strategic communication campaigns, interactive town halls, and cross-functional employee forums.
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential: Bachelor's degree in relevant field; experience in identifying training needs; knowledge of training program design; proficiency in implementing training policies; ability to liaise with managers for succession planning; expertise in identifying developmental needs; strong evaluation skills for training outcomes; management of external training providers; team leadership capabilities within training departments. Effective engagement and partnering of Senior Management Team; Design experience of professional development interventions and materials; Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry.Desirable: Advanced degree in Adult Learning or Organizational Development; certifications in instructional design or e-learning platforms; experience with digital training tools or Learning Management Systems (LMS); demonstrated ability in cross-cultural training program adaptation; proficiency in at least one additional language; experience developing leadership development programs; strong analytical skills for training effectiveness evaluation.
