About This Role

                                                                                                         

CAE x SIMCOM is currently seeking a qualified candidate as an Instructor Pilot. This position will abide by CAE x SIMCOM standards and policies. The instructor pilot will deliver ground school and simulator training during Initial, Recurrent or specialty training courses to our customers. The ideal candidate will focus on customer progress and performance with a tailored approach to specific training that includes lesson planning, classroom and simulator set-up, and upkeep of current publications and training materials. Travel may be required on an occasional basis 

Duties and Responsibilities 

As an Instructor Pilot, provide standardized training in the classroom and/or simulator (unless specifically requires the aircraft) for the following events: 

Captain Upgrades 

Initial/Recurrent Training 

PIC/SIC Evaluations 

Differences Training 

Remedial Training 

Enforce company standards by teaching and requiring others to fly by set standards of service and safety 

Strong interpersonal, verbal/written, listening, and presentation skills are necessary to effectively teach required subjects and provide constructive feedback 

Possess the skills to properly judge and evaluate pilot performance and willing to accurately and impartially judge and evaluate 

Conduct ground and simulator training for Customers at SIMCOM 

The successful candidate must be able to keep accurate records, complete proper paperwork and submit required documents to the company in a timely manner 

Evaluate Customers progress in gaining skills and knowledge by the standards established at SIMCOM 

Serve as a liaison between the customers and the training center managers. 

If authorized as TCE for CAE x SIMCOM, conduct Proficiency Checks and Certification Checks as authorized under FAR 135/142 

Assist/Define customer training requirements through participation in training conferences, meetings 

Maintain competency and qualifications authorized to instruct 

Maintain a high level of professionalism  

Perform other related duties and assignments as required 

 

Education / Skills / Background

Associate degree or college degree preferred; High School diploma or state issued equivalent required2-5 years of related job-relevant experiencePrevious experience teaching or training of others.Proven experience demonstrating a customer service orientation of work assignments.Must be authorized to live/work in the United StatesBasic computer proficiency, Microsoft Office, and other internet-based programsMust be able to participate in CAE’s DOT Anti-Drug & Alcohol testing programHolds an existing instructor qualification or type rating preferredHold or has held a professional pilots’ licenseFAR Part 135 experience, 5,000 hours of total flight timePossess an unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate and a minimum of one unrestricted PIC type rating preferredExcellent Fluency in English, through both verbal and written communications; able to speak, understand, read and writeMust be an excellent listener and presenter in order to meet and exceed the Customer’s expectations during the training process

 

Physical Environment/Working Conditions 

Dual environment setting: Office and Simulator. May have some light lifting required up to 30lbs. May require prolonged periods of sitting, standing or walking
