THE ROLE

As Chief Financial Officer of Merch Traffic, you will lead all aspects of financial strategy, operations, reporting, and compliance for the business. You will be a thought partner to the CEO and executive team, bringing clarity to the company’s financial performance, developing financial plans that enable scalable growth, and overseeing key financial operations across tour, retail, and eCommerce channels.

This role will serve as a senior leader within the Merch Traffic executive team and will also partner closely with the broader Live Nation Finance leadership group.


Our ideal person will be a strategic and commercially minded finance executive with deep expertise in accounting, planning, and operational finance, and would ideally have experience within retail, eCommerce environments, or entertainment in general.

You should be passionate about driving business performance, leading high-performing teams, and ensuring fiscal integrity across a fast-moving and artist-centric business. You thrive in entrepreneurial settings, are comfortable working cross-functionally, and have a strong command of both financial rigor and creative adaptability.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO:

Lead all financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, and strategic modeling across the Merch Traffic business.Oversee accounting operations, ensuring SOX compliance with internal controls, US GAAP, and Live Nation financial policies.Deliver accurate, timely monthly and quarterly closes, with meaningful analysis of revenue drivers, margin performance, and cashflow.Develop and maintain financial dashboards and KPIs that provide business insight and operational accountability.Partner with eCommerce, touring, creative, and production teams to align financial goals with business strategies.Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO of Merch TrafficLead and mentor a high-performing accounting and finance team, with clear succession planning and growth opportunities.Serve as the key liaison with internal and external auditors, legal, tax, and other corporate stakeholders.Oversee revenue recognition, inventory management, cost-of-goods trackingReview and submission of artist contracts and deal proposals.Ensure robust contract compliance, risk mitigation, and ongoing improvements in systems and processes.Drive the financial integration and optimization of eCommerce platforms, vendor management, and payment systems.Review Artist Royalty Statements and General Ledger reconciliationsOversee the two subsidiary companies (screen printer and poster distribution companies)

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING:

10+ years of finance and accounting leadership experience, preferably in eCommerce, consumer goods, music, or entertainment industries.Proven track record as a CFO or senior finance executive within a high-growth, product-driven business.CPA strongly preferred; MBA a plus.Deep knowledge of US GAAP and public company reporting standards.Hands-on experience with ERP systems, eCommerce platforms, and inventory management tools.Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence across creative and commercial teams.

The expected compensation for this position is:

$260,000.00 USD - $325,000.00 USD

** Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
