MAU is hiring a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Green Energy Biofuel, in Columbia, SC. As the Chief Financial Officer, you will lead all financial strategy, M&A initiatives, operational performance analytics, and risk management for a fast-scaling renewable energy company. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Benefits Package 401(k) Paid vacation Paid holidays Paid time off Relocation bonus Profit-sharing opportunity Shift Information Full-time, on-site role in Columbia, SC Regular travel required to Aiken and Winnsboro locations Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience in asset-heavy industries (e.g., waste, manufacturing, energy, or transportation) Demonstrated experience leading M&A initiatives and post-acquisition integration Proven ability to scale financial operations in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment Experience operating within capital-intensive, compliance-heavy, privately held organizations Preferred Education and Experience CPA or MBA Background in renewable fuels, waste services, or environmental compliance Knowledge of carbon markets, LCFS/RFS credits, or circular economy strategies Familiarity with private capital markets, investor relations, and board reporting Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage, QuickBooks Enterprise) and business intelligence tools General Requirements Strategic mindset with strong financial modeling and performance tracking skills Experience negotiating with banks, private equity firms, and strategic investors Proficiency in managing cash flow, job costing, plant operations, and asset utilization Strong leadership and mentoring skills across cross-functional teams Essential Functions

Strategic Financial Leadership Shape company strategy and long-term financial vision as part of the executive team Build and manage multi-year financial models to support vertical integration and market expansion Optimize pricing, margins, and operational efficiency Oversee data collection for R&D credits Determine profitability by revenue stream and location M&A + Capital Strategy Lead due diligence and financial modeling for acquisitions Support post-merger integration and performance tracking Source and negotiate financing with financial institutions and investors Operational Finance + Performance Analytics Develop budgets, forecasts, and internal dashboards with actionable KPIs Provide visibility into job costing, route profitability, and asset utilization Identify bottlenecks and collaborate cross-functionally to drive scale Accounting, Compliance & Risk Oversight Manage GL, payroll, AP/AR, and tax functions; streamline month-end close Maintain audit readiness and oversee compliance with ISCC, RFS, and feedstock traceability Ensure accurate quarterly tax estimates and timely distributions Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports Treasury & Cash Management Monitor daily cash flow and working capital Maintain banking relationships and negotiate loan terms Evaluate ROI for major capital investments and certifications Team + Culture Leadership Lead and develop a multi-site finance and accounting team Mentor team members in HR/payroll and procurement functions Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and mission alignment Office setting with field and operational site visits required
